22 Jun
2017

Quiz of Finance & Investing is an educational personal and business corporate finance app with a sleek on target stock trading design. There are thousands of questions within the four categories in this app. The four major categories in this app are; Abbreviations / Acronyms, Definitions, Formulas & Ratios, and Stock Symbols. The quiz is set up with various multiple choice answers for each question and there’s also a statistics feature that keeps up with your data in each category.

This educational finance & accounting app is for a wide range of people. It’s targeted towards stock traders, investors, students in high school & college majoring in accounting, finance, entrepreneurship and other related fields, financial analysts, advisors and other finance professionals, accountants and other accounting professionals, economists, entrepreneurs, and anybody else with an interest in finance, accounting, or the economy.

Use this app to learn new information, refresh yourself with information you’ve learned before, and to retain information that you’re already aware of. This app was developed and designed by a finance graduate who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Finance with a minor in Economics from one of the best business schools in America. The developer of this app is a somewhat active stock trader, value investor, and a big fan of the CNBC shows Fast Money & Mad Money.

This app can help you learn more about stock trading which will lead to aiding you in picking stocks and even being able to help others with stock trading tips & advice. Being informed and knowledgable about the stock market can of course also help you make money fast with the right securities and stock picks, but be careful because you can lose money as fast of you can make money too.

Quiz of Finance & Investing can also be used as a study guide to help college students with test exam prep. Whether you’re majoring in finance, accounting, or economics. This app touches on all of those subjects on the surface level and also in exquisite detail. This app also has a statistics screen and financial related sound effects.

This app is not responsible for any losses you may incur in the stock market or any gains either, but it can help you make those gains through the vast amount of valuable information within it. No data connection is needed to use the main features in this app.

Results from My First Facebook Ad Campaign

12 May
2013

Shortly after the release of Jumbo Egg Hunt 2 I decided to try promoting it with ads on Facebook. After researching the possible outcomes, and analyzing the process and costs, I decided to set up three separate ads for this one app.  This was my first ad experience on Facebook, but their process was very easy for me to understand and I was able to quickly set up targeted ads.

I only spent $22.36 but my ads had a combined campaign reach of over 90,000 in 12 days. The campaign reach amount is the number of unique users that saw the ad. The total number of ad impressions was over 190,000. I wish the CTR(click-through rate) would have been better, but considering my total amount spent, I’m still satisfied with the number of clicks received. I decided on having a small budget for each campaign since I was mainly using this as an experiment to test the waters of advertising on Facebook. I know some people absolutely avoid clicking on ads even if the product or service interests them. So there’s actually a good chance some people may have checked out the app without clicking on the advertisement.

I decided to post the graphs and data below for other independent app developers and/or anybody else that might be interested in advertising on Facebook. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me. I don’t disclose downloads/sales so please don’t ask about those numbers. Overall, I’m satisfied with my results, and I will consider setting up ads on Facebook again in the future. Well, its Mothers Day and I’m about the to meet up with my awesome mom & grandma so that’s it for this post. Happy Mothers Day to all the other wonderful moms out there!

It’s official……..I’m now a part of the Windows Store! Earlier this month I started the process of trying to submit four of my apps to the Windows Store. I ran into a few bumps along the road, but I’ve learned a few things from it, and now I have one of my apps approved for the Windows Store. Raven’s Hidden Hollows is the first one to be approved, and it’s now available at: http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/ravens-hidden-hollows/0fb9ca42-8ed8-478a-9761-02317c921811

That link above is for the U.S. English listing, but it’s also available on the Windows Store in several other countries. I plan on releasing a few more of my apps that I’ve already developed on there soon. I’m actually waiting on a couple to be approved at this moment that I resubmitted. The two main app stores that I currently release my apps on are Apple and Amazon, however, after my next release I may plan on making some of my apps available in the Windows Store concurrently.

I would write more about the apps I’m working on and et cetera, but honestly I’m pressed for time. I didn’t expect any of the apps I submitted to Windows being approved today, but one of them was, so that’s great. I look forward to continue working with Microsoft and releasing my apps on their Windows Store. I like some of the new products they’ve rolled out and they seem to be moving in the right direction.

2012

√ Added Game Center Achievements! 14 achievements for a total of 1,000 points!

Achievements!!! Everybody likes achievements/trophies right?!? Well I do and I know several other gamers that do as well. I game mostly on the PS3 & Xbox 360, but Apple’s Game Center is nice also. The three game modes in Lightspeed Bit Bit are well-suited for achievements, and some of them are quite ambitious.  So lightspeeders, are you up for the challenge? Have fun!

New Release: Strike The Goal

25 Jul
2012

(My newest game, Strike The Goal, is now available on the Amazon App Store for Android! I didn’t expect it to get its first approval until later this week, but the Amazon Android App Store review was super quick. It will also be available on the Apple App Store soon.)

Strike The Goal is a fun soccer themed physics puzzler. The goal… of the game is to strike the ball into the goal. Move your teammates around to help set up the perfect shot. Aim the arrow in the direction you want to kick the ball to score while avoiding obstructing opponents & yellow cards. However, sometimes you might be able to use an opponent to your advantage. The match is lost when you strike a wrong goal, get two yellow cards, or strike the ball more than 9 times(tournament mode only).

 – Plan out each strike by moving teammates around or just strike it.

 – Learn about different countries before each match. Over 700 random facts in the game.

 – Exhibition mode: Compete against 40 top international teams.

 – Challenge yourself by trying to score in one strike.

 – Score a goal in 1 strike to obtain 3 stars. 2 strikes for 2 stars. 3 or more strikes for 1 star.

 – Tournament mode: Win 3 randomized matches in a row to obtain the STG championship & extra coins.

 – 20 Achievements/Trophies for a total of 1,000 Game Center achievement points.

 – Opponents stand still, move around, and sometimes attack the ball.

– Extend the aiming arrow further for a harder kick or shorter for a softer kick.

– Real crowd noise, chants, vuvuzelas, and other sound FX.

– Use coins earned in-game to buy different balls & fields.
